This blog post is full of women that inspire me. They all come from different walks of life but what each one contributes to the world is something to I admire. When I look for courage, I draw upon these women that inspire me.
Yeonmi Park– is a 22-year-old human rights activist from North Korea. Growing up her family faced starvation and extreme oppression by the North Korean government. She escaped her country to China at the age of thirteen only to fall victim into sexual slavery. Branded as a defector by North Korea, she transformed herself into a symbol of empowerment for all human beings.

Mindy Kaling– stars in her comedy show (she produces it, too!) on Hulu called the Mindy Project, but I’ve followed her since the Office. Read about her time as a Dartmouth graduate and her comedy shows in her book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) And pick up a copy of her new book Why Not Me?
I just ordered mine! I look forward to every Tuesday now for a new episode of the Mindy Project. Her down to earth spirit comes through on-screen and in writing.
Colette Butler– is a daily blogger, co-host of the Mom’s View on Youtube, mom of five, and wife to Shay Carl, one of Youtube’s most popular content creators. Throughout the years of watching their daily vlogs, I have admired the patience Colette has demonstrated with her family. I hope to emulate her when I care for my family. Did I mention she has a stunning voice, too? Geez Louise.
