I know what you’re thinking. Uncle Harry’s doesn’t look like toothpaste.
I don’t even know HOW I stumbled across this product on Amazon. I received this product about three days ago in the mail, so this isn’t an in-depth review. I haven’t used it long enough to decide if I’m going to keep using it, so this post is my first impression of Uncle Harry’s Natural Toothpaste. This product claims to balance your mouth’s pH balance and whiten teeth gently. I’m excited to test this product out, and reap the benefits!
This post is not sponsored! Bought this darn thing with my own money! : )
Scent and Taste
As you can tell from the photo I ended up purchasing Children’s Toothpaste, and that was a wise choice (thanks, Amazon Reviews!). I read that the children’s toothpaste is a much milder version of the adult one, and they still have the same ingredients. This toothpaste smells wonderful; it has spearmint, peppermint, eucalyptus, clove, wintergreen, and oregano essential oils.
As for taste, it certainly isn’t Colgate! This is my first time using natural toothpaste, so imagine my surprise when all I tasted was salt. I thought I was going to experience spearmint heaven, but I got a mouth full of ocean water instead! I don’t know if this is something I can get used to, but I hope so. This seems like a much healthier alternative to most commercial toothpaste.
Ingredients
Bentonite Clay, calcium carbonate, colloidal silver water, sea salt, ionic minerals, mustard seed, essential oils of spearmint, peppermint, eucalyptus, clove, wintergreen, and oregano.
Note: I’m too sure what I think about colloidal silver water. I came across a video today about this guy who turned blue after putting colloidal silver water on his face. I didn’t even realize Uncle Harry’s toothpaste has colloidal silver until I was writing out the ingredients list. LOL! MY HEART STOPPED. I’m sure this product is safe (tons of positive reviews on Amazon!), but I still can’t get over the fact that his face turned blue.
It’s different from regular toothpaste
You know that feeling you get after brushing your teeth. That clean, minty and fresh feeling? Not with this toothpaste. I bet my teeth are just as clean, but I enjoy that minty taste afterwards. Though I’m sure it only takes some time getting used to. I bought this toothpaste because it seemed like a healthy alternative to most commercial brands, but I haven’t fallen in love with this product yet.
Would you guys like an in-depth review of this product in the future? Until next time!
Interesting product, Diana! I never heard of it. The ingredients sound like it would be fragrant.
I tried a natural toothpaste that was made on Canada and I did enjoy it! It does take getting used to, but I enjoy using natural ingredients.
