I’m back at home sooner than expected, and eating chocolate covered marshmallows in bed. Yum! Ugh, I just couldn’t keep up with my husband. Accompanying Danny on the road in his truck was too hard for me. I spent two weeks and a half with him traveling the U.S. interstates, and I felt sticky and hot the entire time. The best part was spending time with my husband, but I will probably never do that again! Waiting to get loaded, traffic, dirty bathrooms — Just no!

I can’t even imagine how hard this lifestyle is for my husband and others like him. It takes a certain kind of person to be a trucker and I certainly have a greater appreciation for my husband after seeing how hard he works everyday. Anyway, not the job for me! I’m glad to be back home and back to my regular schedule.
My cousin is also here on vacation from Ecuador so I came back just on time! It’s so nice having her here with us and being able to spend time together. She brought me delicious chocolates from Ecuador that are almost gone. I can’t wait to take her out and show her more of the Waterfront. We haven’t gone to Hoboken yet although we did go shopping in Newport. We are planning on doing more fun stuff like go to the beach and explore a bit of New York City too.
I bought myself to a pair of sunglasses last week (pictured above). I think they’re so cute! I’m not one to wear a lot of accessories but I’m going to start wearing sunglasses a lot more to protect my eyes and skin from the sun. I heard the skin around the eye is so delicate and fragile, and I’m planning on keeping my skin healthy for as long as possible!
Danny also treated me to a new nail polish that I’m absolutely in love with. I have to take this polish with me to the salon so they can give me a proper manicure but I think I did an okay job on my nails this time around. I need a top coat so my nail color stops chipping but so far I’m impressed with Nailsinc! It’s my first time trying out this brand, and it won’t be my last.
Until next time – Diana
