I love saving money wherever I can, but there are a few different things I love to splurge on instead of saving. As long as I spend my money wisely I don’t have any problem paying for something that will last me longer or is of better quality. I’m a fan of saving money, and DIYs but everybody enjoys a luxury every once in a while!

Here are Six things I love to Splurge on Instead of Saving Money

#1 Getting my nails done
I need my nails to look nice, and I hate that they chip whenever I do them on my own. Most of the time I do my nails at home, but I do get into periods of time when I only get my nails done at a salon. When I do end up getting my nails done by a pro I like to choose a gel polish so it lasts longer. I feel a lot better about myself knowing that my nails look nice. It’s just a part of my self care routine and I feel more put together when I have a manicure. I never think I’m wasting my money on a mani-pedi. I love my nail tech!
#2 My Foundation
I always use the same foundation, and that’s my Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Foundation. It works so well for my skin and hides the dry patches that occasionally appear on my skin (even though I moisturize like no tomorrow). It’s a bit more expensive than other foundations but at least it doesn’t leave my skin looking like I just poured a bunch of glitter on my face. I’m looking at you, Maybelline.
#3 My Gym Membership

My usual gym outfit!
It took me a long time to find a gym that I liked, so I can’t believe that I actually found one! I get so much use out of my gym membership. I love that I have access to a bunch of different equipment and that I can go from doing cardio to weight lifting in a few minutes. Also, knowing that I’m paying for a gym membership makes me more motivated to get out there and exercise. I know a lot of women exercise in their homes but I personally can’t do that. My bedroom is my lazy room and there’s no way I’m gonna be doing push ups there. Just. No. Way.
#4 Contacts
When I first started wearing contacts about four years ago I chose to go with monthly contact lenses because of price. But it was not comfortable! My eyes were so dry all the time so I then switched to two week disposable lenses. SAME PROBLEM. Ugh, my poor eyes. Last year I switched to daily lenses and wearing my contacts now is so much more comfortable. It’s more expensive for me to use daily lenses but it’s worth it to me if my eyes won’t be feeling dry all the time.
#5 My Cat’s Food
So I don’t really think this is a splurge but some people tell me I spend way too much on cat food. Last year my vet told me that the Purina dry cat food was making my cat sick and that I should switch to Science Diet. I’m so glad I did because his health improved drastically. I don’t know much about cat food but I trust my vet’s expertise and I love that he has more energy and less hair loss. Plus, I love my baby! Why wouldn’t I want him to have good food in his belly?

Marvin, my first love
That’s it!
Thank you for reading what I love to splurge on. Nobody can be frugal all the time! Do you share some of the same things I have on this list? Anything different? Leave it in the comments below, I love talking with my readers!
This is great! I enjoyed reading through this post 😀 I also love splurging on my nails too! 😀
